The PB-based line of controllers use the incredibly powerful yet affordable PocketBeagle (PB) single board computer (SBC). These PB controllers are designed to run an equally powerful open-source software called Falcon Pi Player (FPP). FPP allows you to network multiple controllers together and trigger/play sequences directly on the controller. Sequences can be created using the open-source sequencing software Xlights.
The combination of Xlights, FPP, and KurtControllers’ PB-based controllers allows massively scalable synchronous control of any output device (at economical costs) to take your attraction to the next level!
$10 from each purchase of a PB-based controller goes directly to the developers of Xlights and FPP to thank them for their incredible work and to continue development of the software.
Stay tuned for an instructional video series that will show you how to get started with these controllers

What Are WS28xx Pixels?
WS28xx is the product family number for a LED control chip manufactured by World Semi (hence the ‘WS’). This family of chips allows individual control of RGB LEDs in a chain using only 3 wires (positive, data, ground). Essentially, it allows for incredible visual effects in an affordable, scalable, and easy to use manor! Check out our social media channels for examples (links at bottom of page).
KurtControllers Inc offers a variety of products for controlling WS28xx pixel LEDs, however, we do not sell the lights themselves as it would not be remotely economical for our customers. Overseas manufacturers have the best prices on a wide variety of LED form factors; strips, bullet nodes, floods, tubes, circles, beams, and many more.
A Note On SD Cards
The PocketBeagle single board computer uses a micro SD card to store its operating system and sequence/media files. The micro SD card is vital to the performance, reliability, and longevity of the PocketBeagle and FPP software running on it. All PB-based controllers ship with a genuine SanDisk Ultra 32GB micro SD card pre-flashed with the latest version of FPP and fully tested. This card works great with FPP, has ample storage for sequence and media files, and has a rated operating temperature range of -25°C to 85°C. If you use your own micro SD cards please ensure it is a high-quality card and is genuine; many SD cards you can find online are unfortunately counterfeit nowadays and will cause problems for you and your controllers.
